HOW DOES READERS’ CHOICE WORK?
1. THE NOMINATION ROUND BEGINS ON FEBRUARY 9, 2024. Advertising deadline is FEBRUARY 1, 2024
The public will nominate their favorite businesses in 245 categories for retail, hospitality, manufacturing, professional services, healthcare, employment & so much more!
Only the TOP 5 businesses with the most nominations will move on to the voting round!
2. Voting Round Begins on March 29, 2024. The businesses with the most votes in each category will be named a Readers’ Choice winner.
3. WINNERS WILL BE NOTIFIED BY EARLY MAY.
4. THE SPECIAL EDITION ANNOUNCING THE WINNERS WILL BE PUBLISHED ON JUNE 13, 2024.

Q. What are the key dates for 2024?
Nomination Period: February 9 – February 25 at 12:00 p.m. (advertising deadline is 2/1/24)
Voting Round: March 29 – April 14 at 12:00 p.m.
Special Edition Publishes: June 13, 2024 (winners will be notified by early May)
Q. How does a business and/or professional get a Readers' Choice nomination?
Anyone can visit republicanherald.com/readerschoice during the nomination period (Feb. 9, 2024 – February 25, 2024 at noon) to type in the name of their favorite business. Write-in ballots will also be published in the Republican Herald newspaper on 2/11 and 2/18.
Q. How do I encourage my customers to nominate my business?
We’ve seen very creative ways to encourage nominations and voting over the past decade. Many businesses use point of sale signs with the contest URL on it asking for votes.
Register receipts with a message and link, bill stuffers, advertising packages, social media campaigns and even special packaging with QR codes to scan! Remember, only the Top 5 businesses with the most nominations will move on to the voting round so you’ll want to ask your customers, friends, employees and family members to nominate AND vote!
Q. Will my business be contacted by the Republican Herald about participating in this year's Readers' Choice?
While our Readers’ Choice team does their best to contact area businesses, it isn’t possible to reach everyone by deadline. Please reach out to our team by filling out the form on this site or by emailing advertising@republicanherald.com.

Republicanherald.com/readerschoice is the public contest page where people can nominate and then vote online. There will also be ballots published in the newspaper on February 11 & February 18 for nominations and March 31 & April 7 for voting only.
Q. What should I do if I don't see a category that is applicable to my business?
Our Readers’ Choice team carefully curates the list of categories each year. The 2024 promotion has 245 of our most popular selections. If your business doesn’t fit into one of those options, you can request a category in a future promotion by emailing advertising@republicanherald.com.
Q. Am I allowed to use the Readers' Choice logo?
Our official logo may be used, but may not be altered in any way. You can request promotional images from one of our advertising consultants so please fill out the form above to get your FREE media kit and details on promotional material.
